Mrs. Loraine Patricia White: then wife, now widow of Rev. Waldo R. White. She served as First Lady of Prince Chapel AME Church from 1975 to 1978. Her favorite hymn is "His Eye Is On the Sparrow" and her favorite scripture is Psalm 121. While serving at Prince Chapel, the young people and education were her passion. She continued to demonstrate her love of children, even after her term was over, by organizing the Acolytes at Prince Chapel. She desires to be remembered as "Someone who had a love for God and her commitment to walk in love and represent Christ in her journey home."
Mrs. Ray Jo Farris: wife of Rev. H. Charles Farris (now Presiding Elder Farris). She served as First Lady of Prince Chapel AME Church from 1979 to 1981. Her favorite hymn is "My Hope is Built on Nothing Less" and her favorite scripture is Psalm 34. While serving at prince Chapel, Mrs. Farris started the Willing Workers, a ways and means committee to raise funds for church programs and projects. One of the most successful ventures was a Fashion Show at the Doubletree Hotel in Tucson. She desires to be remembered as "A Christian who lived a Christ like life, always willing to lend a helping hand."
Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Fortune: then wife, now widow of Rev. Walter F. Fortune. She served as First Lady of Prince Chapel AME Church from 1981 to 1986. Her favorite hymn is "If I Can Help Someone, Then My Living Has Not Been in Vain" and her favorite scripture is Psalm 121. While serving at Prince Chapel as First Lady, Mrs. Fortune worked diligently with the Lucy Williams Missionary Society and was a faithful representative at Church Women United. She desires to be remembered as someone who was "Always willing to help someone with a helping hand, a kind smile and a warm heart."
